Lifestyle Photography with Organic Grower Xanthe Gladstone for Wood and Meadow

Commissioned by Wood & Meadow, to photograph organic grower, chef, and sustainable food advocate Xanthe Gladstone—capturing her in her element at the beautiful Victorian walled garden on the Hawarden Estate in North Wales. The shoot was designed to showcase Wood and Meadow’s new workwear jacket, blending functionality with timeless style for gardeners and growers. Throughout the imagery, the jacket takes centre stage, seamlessly fitting into Xanthe’s daily rhythm of tending the garden, harvesting and preparing seasonal produce into a tasty firepit cooked dish.

Beyond her work in the garden, Xanthe is the Director of Food at Hawarden, Glen Dye, and The Good Life Experience, championing sustainability and regenerative food systems. After growing up in the wilds of Scotland, she briefly pursued a corporate career in London before returning to a life rooted in nature—swapping office work for hands in the soil.

It was a pleasure to document Xanthe’s connection to the land and highlight the workwear’s durability and style in an authentic setting. If you're looking for a photographer to create compelling visual narratives for sustainable fashion, lifestyle brands, or organic food projects, I’d love to work with you!
