Photographing Natural Winemaking: La Di Da Di Wines, The Dão Valley, Portugal

La Di Da Di Wines is dedicated to celebrating artisanal natural wines in Portugal, focusing on low-intervention winemaking and honouring the unique terroirs where the grapes are grown. By embracing traditional methods and fostering vineyard biodiversity, the project contributes to a movement toward more sustainable, high-quality wine production.

Founder Florian Tonello, a former graffiti artist, has been immersed in the natural wine world for years. He co-founded Pura Sede, Portugal’s first dedicated natural wine festival, and has worked on various winemaking projects, including reviving an old vineyard in Penalva do Castelo. Florian’s mission is to support small artisanal winemakers, promote organic and regenerative viticulture, and connect people with wines crafted with care, integrity, and respect for the land. It was a true pleasure to collaborate with someone as creative in all facets of their life—always open to ideas, and fun to be around.
