Yūgen Forest
Yūgen Forest is an innovative organisation that promotes harmony between human well-being and nature on their expansive 52-hectare regenerative estate in Dronten, Netherlands. The unique onsite locations provide an ideal setting for conscious entrepreneurs, trainers, therapists, and teachers to organise events and workshops encouraging wellness and connection with nature. From wild foraging walks to forest bathing retreats, vision quests, ice baths, nature work days, sweat lodge ceremonies, remote work aways, wild cooking, and leadership training, Yūgen Forest offers a variety of activities that cater to different needs and interests.
I was thrilled when Yūgen Forest approached me to create image assets for their investor pitches, website, and social media accounts. Spending seven days onsite this past September, I produced an image bank of photography that showcased their workshop and glamping facilities, regenerative farming practices, wellness activities, chef's cooking, and team headshots. The purpose of the photography was to capture the essence of Yūgen Forest and its commitment to promoting wellness and sustainability.
What I love most about Yūgen Forest is its stewardship-owned business model. They prioritise regenerative practices that restore and rewild the environment, reduce waste, use renewable resources, and support and enhance local biodiversity. Unlike traditional businesses focusing on short-term profits, Yūgen Forest is dedicated to creating long-term value and sowing the seeds for a more equitable and sustainable future. Their commitment to sustainability and innovative approach to promoting wellness and connection with nature make Yugen Forest a truly inspiring organisation.
